Welcome to the 2nd highest bridge in North Carolina, and the 47th tallest in the United states! Laurel Creek Gorge Bridge is a short, unassuming bridge when passing along I26, but standing underneath it can give you a scale of just how tall this bridge is. With a deck height of 220 feet, it's only 5 feet shorter than the tallest bridge in North Carolina, the Peter Guice Memorial Bridge near Hendersonville. It's also the same height as the Golden Gate Bridge! Stay and enjoy the view for a few moments before continuing on your journey.
