Take the road less traveled.
Back in 2009, this stretch of Highway 5 became the road less traveled. The opening of the new Highway 5 brought about a much needed and safer road, but rendered this stretch of road forgotten to many. As I drive this road, I remember the businesses that used to be, and see the businesses that have continued on throughout the years.
I placed this cache here to bring people back to this stretch of road. We had originally placed another cache further down the road, but we had to archive it because of vandalism. This is a quick park & grab with parking right off the road. Watch carefully for traffic as many still use this road. Afterwards, take a little time to drive down the rest of old Highway 5 and imagine what used to be.
