Bij Twente denk je misschien aan kleinschalig boerenlandschap met glooiende essen en kabbelende beekjes. Wist je dat je in deze regio ook uitgestrekte hoogveengebieden vindt.
Twente is daarnaast ook bekend om zijn landgoederen.
Deze zijn veelal aangelegd door textielfabrikanten tijdens de hoogtijdagen van de textielindustrie.
Grote variatie dus in landschapstypen, plant- en diersoorten en cultuurhistorie.
Je zult wel denken: Twente, dat is toch die regio vol natuurgebieden, landgoederen en boerderijen. En je hebt nog gelijk ook.

Twente is also known for its country estates. These were often built by textile manufacturers during the heyday of the textile industry. So there is great variation in landscape types, plant and animal species and cultural history.

Twente'23 Muziek in de oren
Muziek is de kunstzinnige schikking en combinatie van de klanken van muziekinstrumenten en de menselijke stem om schoonheid van vorm dan wel uitdrukking van emotie te bereiken. Het woord 'muziek' is afgeleid van het Griekse μουσική (mousikè), 'kunst van de Muzen'.
Aan muziek kunnen de aspecten toonhoogte, ritme, geluidssterkte (muzikale dynamiek), klankkleur (timbre), melodie, harmonie en textuur (monofonie, polyfonie e.a.) onderscheiden worden, maar ook stilte (rust).
