BoG Woodland Wheels Pump Track
Thanks to generous donations through crowdfunding it has been possible for Woodland Wheels to develop the old curling pond within Boat Wood to a pump track.
For those not in the know (like me) a pump track is a track for wheeled sports equipment that consists of a circuit of rollers, banked turns and features designed to be ridden completely by riders “pumping” – generating momentum by up and down body movements, instead of pedalling or pushing.
There are plenty of picnic benches around the outside so you can watch the more energetic members of your family, or friends, if this is not your thing. There is also a notice board with instructions if you want to give it a go for the first time.
The cache is outside of the pump track fence. Please return the camouflage. You’ll need to bring a pen (or send me a photo). The cache has started with plenty of swag – if this is your (or your child’s) first cache, feel free to take something to swap with swag in a geocache you visit in future.
