This is a challenge cache, and the cache is hidden at the posted coordinates.
Project-GC, which provides challenge checkers for challenge caches, assigns a 0 to 100 difficulty rating for each challenge cache. The challenge difficulty rating is designed to measure what proportion of geocachers fulfill a challenge or not. In order to create a series of challenge caches that would appeal to a wide range of geocachers, I have decided to create ten challenge caches, one for each ten point difficulty range, so there will be one cache between 0 and 10 in difficulty, one between 11 and 20, etc., all the way up to one between 91 and 100.
To find caches in each of these ranges, I looked for existing challenge caches from around the U.S. and Canada that met the following criteria: 1) I fulfill the challenge requirements (which is required for me to be able to publish a similar cache), 2) I find the requirements to be creative and interesting, and 3) there is not an identical or nearly identical challenge cache nearby that I am aware of.
There is one caveat that I need to add to the difficulty ranges that I have assigned in naming these caches. The difficulty rating is actually for the original cache that inspired my cache. Project-GC assigns the difficulty rating with a higher weighting based on the geocachers that live in the same region as the challenge itself, with a lesser rating for geocachers who live in a different region of that country, and an even lesser weighting for geocachers in the remainder of the world. Therefore, my cache is likely to have a somewhat different rating than the original, and I have no way of knowing in advance what that difference will be. However, I still feel that my approach will provide a range of difficulties, even if they do not exactly match the target ranges. As a result, I reserve the right to alter the names and difficulty range of some of these caches in the future to map more closely to their actual difficulty rating, if it seems appropriate.
Like all other challenge caches, you may not claim a find on this cache unless you both sign the log and meet the specific requirements for this cache. If you have not completed the requirements, but you locate the cache container and sign the log, you can create a Write Note log. Once you meet the challenge, you can log the cache as Found. If you log a Found but have not completed the challenge, the log will be removed.
The geocache difficulty rating for the caches in this series are based on the difficulty of the challenge. The hides are not intended to be difficult, and should be fairly easy if you choose to use the hint.
This cache is in the 90 to 100 difficulty range, and is based on The US County Fizzy Challenge in Ontario, Canada.
In order to log this challenge: you must have found one cache in each of the 81 D/T grid spots, and each one must be from a different US county. There are no find date or cache type restrictions for this challenge.
