A traditional cache in the Culmore area of Derry/Londonderry. You should be able to park almost beside the cache and be careful to pick a wider spot so as not to block the road.
As you stand here the likelihood is that you will look across to the port at Lisahally and there will be at least one large cargo ship moored up. I always enjoy the comings and goings from the docks but the other thing I have also noticed is the noise. There is a constant hum often accompanied by clanging and clanking. No matter what time I have come here the noise has been the same so I have concluded, righty or wrongly, that it is unending!
A pair of binoculars are handy here because if you get the name of a ship and pop it into a search engine it will tell you about it and its latest journeys.
The cache is designed to blend into its surroundings and please take care to place back carefully so that it "looks right"!
