Many people pass this spot as they walk through the park, but most do not realize there is a gravesite here.
A little history: Rev. Jesse Boring started work to establish the Methodist Children’s Home in 1869, to take care of orphaned children from the Civil War. The home was originally dedicated in 1871 in Norcross before being moved to Decatur. He died in 1890, and was then buried in Legacy Park.
This is the fourth and final cache in a series hidden by Girl Scout Troop 15225. Permission to hide the cache was given by the Legacy Park Program Director.
