Toby Fishes for a Lead Mystery Cache

Toby was excited to be salmon fishing on the "Hook’em and Book’em" boat with a group of current and retired law enforcement officers. He wasn't sure why they invited him, but he was happy to get out fishing on salt water.  

They had met up early in the morning and settled in for the long ride out to the prime fishing grounds. Once they all had their travel mugs full of coffee, they started trading stories about the cases they were working on.

One federal officer brought up a case in which  he was trying to identify the location in a photograph. He said he had reasons to believe it was in Anchorage and along a busy street, but was unable to pin it down any further. He showed everyone several digitally enhanced portions of the evidence.

Toby looked closely at enhanced photos but said he did not not think he had seen it before. When he looked up, he saw everyone staring right at him, making him nervous. So he took out his cell phone, saw that they were still within cell phone range, and snapped a couple pictures.  He tapped on his phone for a moment, then put it away. He looked up again and everyone was still staring at him.

Toby's ears went up and he said "I don't know where the monument is, but I know some people who know about all sorts of strange nooks and crannies in Anchorage. They are amazingly good at finding the most esoteric stuff hidden in crazy places. I bet they will find where that is at before we cook up the salmon for dinner tonight back in town." The other fishermen thought this was a sarcastic brag and chuckled. 

At the end of the day of successful fishing, as they pulled into shore, Toby checked his phone. Then his tail started wagging and he called out the GPS coordinates of the monument. 

"We can drive by there on the way home." he said.
