Geocache Description:

The best laid plans... as the saying goes.

Having had to abort my planned cache maintenance run along the Santa Clara Truck Trail due to the closure for maintenance grading (or so I was told by the fire crews at Bear Divide) I had to find something to accomplish to make driving all the way up here worth the trip (besides the drive itself, which is enjoyable no matter what the aim).

After assuaging the caching pangs with a couple of quick finds at the beginning of the Bear Divide trail (no surprise that w0lf's little FTF pawprints were already there), I returned to the car and descended Little T. With some unused replacement caches on hand, I stopped at this spacious turnout to see if I could unload another one and was unexpectedly rewarded with the sight of a pleasant little cascade that will undoubtedly dissipate in the heat of summer. So come see it while it's here.

Little Tujunga seasonal waterfall

Should only take you a minute to scramble over to where the cache is hidden in much more typically c&d style than the recent hides in Griffith Park. And on the way back you can grab some of the abundant litter and take it with you to clean up the joint just a little bit. Thanks!

Cache is a small, sturdy specimen jar. Please try to leave minimal impact and watch out for poison-oak.

Note: if the final coordinates don't quite seem to make sense for some reason, it could be because it's narrow and tree-covered in that tiny pocket canyon and my first readings were 160' off, despite averaging for several minutes. It could also be—humiliating though it is to admit—that after retaking the reading I dropped my ancient, battered, nowhere-near-waterproof-anymore Garmin 60CSx in the pool at the base of the waterfall, causing it to immediately give up the ghost. At least until it dries out. Hopefully.

In any case, if you're confused, just make your way literally under the falls and look for a SPOR on the ledge a few feet up. Enjoy!
