Cache is located just off Dartmouth Avenue which is the northeast corner of the shopping center built in the late 50's. The GZ is near the only local full service gas station in the area. Other gas stations came later. The area surrounding the GZ is no longer a gas station and is now across a DPD "cop shop" as is on their front door. Due west of the GZ on the end of the building was Herb's Barber shop
This shopping center many businesses, now long gone including, Hodel's Drug, Miller's Grocery, Duckwall's, Dolly Madison Model store, and many more small stores. They are all gone and have been replaced by many new bright stores, progress. Remember as a kid in grade school given a one dollar bill ($1.00) to buy mom a CARTON of cigarettes for her and 10 cents for a soda for walking the two blocks from home and getting the smokes.
