This cache is the end, or beginning, of the Sunset Lake hike/bike trail. The old US Highway 181 causeway once ran along this route until the Sunset Lake we know today was dredged out to use the fill to raise the elevation for the new highway. Long before Europeans came to America this area was a thoroughfare for native Americans, hence the name "Indian Point". If you are willing to brave the mosquitoes you can often see beautiful sunset colors reflecting off the water!
Depending on the time of day, more stealth may be required as it is a very popular place to exercise. Enjoy your visit!
