Bowden Kirk
Bowden Kirk is thought to be the second oldest church in Scotland still in use today. It was opened in 1128 by monks of Kelso Abbey and is one of the buildings of Bowden and Melrose Church of Scotland. Services are generally at 9.30am each Sunday morning
It is open daily for people to enjoy the building or to take a moment of quiet reflection. If you do go in, please sign the visitors book.
The geocache is not hidden in the graveyard (it is on the outside of the walls) - please be respectful and do not hunt there. Nor is it hidden in anywhere where you need to stand on grass to find it. There is a beautiful dafodill display at Bowden Kirk in spring and the Church are keen that this is not damaged.
Hidden with the permission of Bowden and Melrose Church.
