We love geocaching and traveling to find fun, creative caches! There are particular caches that we chose to purposely travel to and will plan vacations to because of the quality and creativity. One of our favorite vacation caching finds include the now archived "The Treasure Chest" GC5W93Q, by mzairboy in PA. It was a humongous ammo can in the middle of the woods!
Those of you who have met Mr. gworol know how much he loves to talk about his ideas to create caches that many love and many fear! Some are cute and some are evil. We are reaching out to Mr. gworol and other local creative cache builders to share their techniques with everyone who attends. Just to name a few, have you found a "Gary", aka gworol, cache? Or a bdubs213 cache? or a 1311 cache? or a Capt. Bob cache (which are very devilish!)? or TheWanderer069? If you have than you know what I'm talking about!
You are invited to come to talk with Mr. gworol about how he comes up with these ideas, tools he uses to create the caches, how he decides where the best place to hide these caches would be, etc. If any other local creative cache builders would like to join him we encourage you to share in the presentation about how you get into the "creative cache building zone" just let us know and we'll put you on the agenda. We will also have attendee participation in the discussion of those creative caches they have found and what about the particular caches made them fun.
There will be a table of "creative" caches on display to enhance the conversation about what makes a good geocache. Any cachers who have a "creative cache" that they would like to display are welcome to bring them for the event. We will direct you to some nearby caches we believe are very creative and worth your while to search for, if you haven't already found them.
We will be meeting in the garage and driveway to share geocaching stories and other chatter. There will even be discussions around who you think is a "creative (or evil) cache" designer and vote for the local cacher you believe is the most "creative." Could it be gworol? Capt. Bob? bdubs213? 1311? TheWanderer069? or someone else?
The event will be from 5 pm - 7 pm..
Please DO NOT park in front of the neighbor's house. There is limited parking in the driveway and plenty of parking in the rest area by the painted wall. If you need park in the driveway, please message us to let us know and we will keep a space available for you.
