Geocache Description:

Until 2003 when the Fairfied by pass was opened this suburb had State Highway 1 running through the middle of it. Since then the suburb has becaome much quieter making foot access to this playground from the other side much easier. Public transport is provided on the route 77 service which runs between Mosgiel and the Central Bus Hub. timetable information is found on the Otago Regional Council web site.

The toilet is of the ExerLoo brand, many of which exist within the city. The outside is of a light grey roughcast material with two dark grey doors at the front. The door on the left is locked and probably has cleaning supplies within and probably provised access to any electronics associated with the unit. The right hand door is generally open when the room isn't in use. The pitched roof is dark grey in colour. Between the two doors is some information on three panels. To find the cache you will need to use the top panel that has a white background. Anyway, more information will be provided later. the middle panel, which like the bottom looks like it is made of aluminium. anyway it has three section, vacant, occupied, closed. Beneath each word is a light and the flashing one indicates the situation within the unit. If the closed is flashing that means that you might have to consider looking elsewhere for relief. The nearest public toilet is at Walton Park via old Brighton Rd. For those using the geocaching app these toilets are marked once you enlarge the map enough.

A foot path extends from the path beside the road up to the internal grey floor. There is plenty of room within to manouver a wheel chair or pram. A wheel chair bound person can easily gather and sort out the final coordinates but will probably need assistance in getting to withtin a couple or so metres of the cache where an assistant can be directed and instructed in finding and bringing the cache to the person.

The walls within are covered in white, dark blue, and yellow cermanic looking tiles. First, working from the floor up you have a couple of levels of white tiles, followed bya level of portrait dark blue tiles, topped by the same size blue one level of white tiles. The ceiling is white and in the middle ther're four small flouresent light bulbs providing light. There are some ventilation slits along the top of the walls.

As you enter the unit you will see on the wall to your left, two buttons, The top is red and this is the one you press to close the door. The lower one is green and you press it to exit. To its right and recessed into the wall is a stainless steel hand basin. It operates by remote sensing with information as to where the soap, water and heated air are dispensed. The water is cold. As you look furthur along you will see a "L" shaped hand rail and in the elbow of this is one large roll of tailet paper, visible behind it's plastic cover. Continuing to the right  is the stainless steel "throne" which has the typical white plastic toilet seat. At the time of my visit it has lost to lid. On the wall above is a sign informing you how to flush the toilet. I hope that you will follow the first method mentioned. Standing upright on the floor next to the toilet is a slim sanitary disposal unit.

The difficulty level reflects the problems that some people may find when searching on their own when the area is busy. Usually it is fairly quiet but I was surprised on one occasion by the number of people there.

Now, for what you really want, and that is the cache. aS previously mentioned, use the panel with the white background that is between the two external doors. The cache is at S45 53.ABC E170 23.DEF where

A = Number of screws holding the top rectangle (white background) information panel.

B = Sum of the last two digits in the NZ Patent App.

C = Number of letters in the last word of the sentence beginning with "Door".

D = Number of digits in the section about "Loiter Alarm" x 2.

E = Digit that is 9th from the right in the bottom line of the fine print in the bottom right hand corner.

F = number of large bold black letters immediately after the large, bold green letters. there are two occurances, only use one of them.

Check sum A + B + C + D + E + F = 34
