Buck Pond is 10.3 miles from the gate. Only accessible when the gate is open, closed during Mud Season. When you get to Buck Pond, and are looking at the Pond from the fire pit, walk approximately 50 ft east, look for the coordinate sign. At the sign, walk past the sign towards the Pond about 35 ft. Find an ammo can leave a note. Leave something, take something, I left an outdoor news. This is a handicap accessible site, and a great spot to camp.
We camped here over Memorial Day weekend. Cache is in place. Added a couple items. Left a note. Beautiful spot and weekend. Bugs were a little tough but bearable. Did some hiking and reading.
