The Shuffle Series - Tubthumping Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

onecrazycanadian: Hi RF5C,

It's been more than 2 months since I last contacted you and you stated that that you would be checking on the cache soon. Since that time there has been no activity or indication that anything is happening with it so I have no choice but to archive the cache. Please note that under directions from HQ, if the cache was archived for maintenance issues, it will not be unarchived. If you wish to replace it you will have to do so with a new listing.

Thanks

Geocache Description:

Please use stealth while finding this Cache - The park can get pretty busy especially on weekends. Also ensure to put the Geocache back properly with its' camoflauge and secure location.

If it gets knocked down, help it get up again :P
Also - a huge thank you to Da_Owen for helping me out with the location to this in relocation to an old multicache of his.

The Shuffle Series is a series of Geocaches that are named after whatever song I have playing on shuffle while hiding it! If you have heard one of the songs used as a name or listened to it for the first time because of this Cache, please include that on your log! I love spreading the joy of Music.

Tubthumping is a song by the British alternative rock band Chumbawamba, released in 1997 as part of their album "Tubthumper". The song was written by the band's members and features lead vocals by Dunstan Bruce. The song's lyrics are upbeat and anthemic, with a catchy chorus that repeats the phrase "I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never gonna keep me down". The song's themes of resilience and perseverance have made it a popular choice for sports events, motivational speeches, and other settings where an uplifting message is needed. Musically, "Tubthumping" features a unique blend of punk rock, pop, and folk influences, with a prominent use of acoustic guitars, brass instruments, and sing-along vocals. The song's production also incorporates sound effects and samples, such as the sound of a bottle being opened, adding to its playful and irreverent tone. "Tubthumping" was a commercial success, reaching the top of the charts in multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. Its infectious energy and uplifting message have made it a beloved and enduring song, and it continues to be a favorite of fans of alternative and indie rock music. Interestingly enough, Chumbawamba did not intend for this song to become as big as it did as they traditionally focused on the Anarcho-Punk genre. After Tubthumper released, Chumbawamba went on to release many more albums with a drastically different sound: Folk music! They later disbanded in 2012.   I am really proud of this Cache. Hopefully you all enjoy it!
