Welcome to the British Fort at Crown Point!

Beginning in 1759, it took more than 3,000 carpenters, masons and soldiers four years to complete construction of the British fort.
As you look around from the cache coordinates, you’ll see the officer’s barracks on your left and the soldier’s barracks on your right, with the first floor window openings and door openings that allow you to see inside and imagine the great fires in those large fireplaces, on both the first and (what was) second floors. In 1773, a chimney fire started in the soldier’s barracks. It spread through the log walls to the powder magazine, causing an enormous explosion that destroyed the bastion wall.
The cache container is a small lock-and-lock, hidden right in the middle of it all.
