V letu 2005 so bili opravljeni arhitekturne izmere objekta, sondiranje fasade in notranjosti, statični ogled ostrešja in statična presoja celotnega objekta. Sondiranja v notranjosti pa, razen več plasti beležev in beljenja z dekorativni valčki, niso odkrila nobenih starejših dekoratvnih poslikav.

At the end of the 19th century, Alojz Prašnikar's bathing complex stretched northwards from the left bank of the Bistrica River in the Mekinje area. This was a large, well laid-out park in which the bathing facilities were located. The baths were linked by a footpath and a chestnut tree avenue to the Prašnikarija, which consisted of the Prašnikar mansion, outbuildings, two summer houses and, to the south of the buildings, a park extending east and west from the access path and avenue respectively. Only two buildings remain of the former magnificent building and park complex: Prašnikar's mansion (1820) and the summer pavilion from the second half of the 19th century. The entrance to the courtyard of both buildings is representatively emphasised by two buttressed slopes on which stand vases designed in the style of 19th-century historicism. The building of today's Prašnikarija was built in the second half of the 19th century and was intended for the most sophisticated guests of the Kurhaus in Kamnik. It is a pavilion-style summer house with a magnificent classical decoration. In 2005, the Prašnikarija got new owners who drew up plans to revitalise the building and immediately started its restoration. In 2005, architectural surveys of the building, probing of the façade and interior, a structural survey of the roof and a structural assessment of the entire building were carried out. The building is constructed entirely of stone. As it was intended only for summer living, it has no insulation of any kind. The removal of the secondary walls has shown the building in an extremely representative light. Probing of the exterior façade revealed three rows of whitewash across the entire façade, which is extremely richly decorated. The probing of the interior, however, did not reveal any older decorative paintings, apart from several layers of whitewash and whitewashing with decorative rollers.
