Can we blame Jet Lag?
Anthony Albanese asks the King, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government? Are there any tips you can give me?"
"Well," said the King, "The most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people."
Albanese then asked, "But how do I know if the people around me are 'really' intelligent?"
The King thoughtfully took a sip of champagne (as you do) and then said: "Oh, that's easy; you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle. Watch this."
The King pushed a button on her intercom."Please send Prince William in here, would you?"
Prince William walked into the room and said, "Yes, Daddy?"
The King smiled and said, "Answer me this please Willie. Your mother and father have a child. It is not your brother and it is not your sister. Who is it?"
Without pausing for a moment, Prince William answered "That would be me."
"Yes! Very good." said the King.
Anthony Albanese went back home to Australia by Qantas, of course. He decided to ask Jim Chalmers the same question. "Jim, answer this for me. Your mother and your father have a child. It's not your brother and it's not your sister. Who is it?"
"I'm not sure," said Chalmers. Let me get back to you on that one."
He went to his advisors and asked everyone, but none could give him an answer. Frustrated, Chalmers went to the toilet and found Peter Dutton hanging about there.
Jim Chalmers went up to him and asked, "Hey Pete, see if you can answer this question."
"No worries, Shoot Jim."
"Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother nor your sister. Who is it?"
Peter Dutton answered, "That's easy, it's me!"
Jim Chalmers grinned, and said, "Good answer Pete, I see it all now!"
Jim Chalmers then, went back to find Anthony Albanese. "Tony, I did some research, and I have the answer to that riddle. "It's Peter Dutton "
Anthony Albanese got up, stomped over to Jim Chalmers, and angrily yelled into his face, "No! You bloody idiot! It's Prince William!"
