About SideTracked Caches
This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website
Ystradgynlais railway station, originally called Ynys-Cedwyn, served the town of Ystradgynlais in the traditional county of Breconshire. Opened in 1869 by the Swansea Vale and Neath and Brecon Junction Railway, it was eventually absorbed by the Midland Railway which closed it to passengers in 1932 although the line through the station remained open for freight for some time after that.
One of many geocaches placed in the Upper Swansea Valley and South Powys area for the 2023 Annual South Wales Event. Most will be wheelchair accessible and are unnumbered so you can make the trail as long or as short as you want.
