Geocache Description:

As a multi the geocache is not at the coordinates given but, if you can, this is a good place to park and walk from. Please bring your own pen.

Your task is to look for numbers to complete the following coded location:

 N 51°AB.CDE' W 00°FG.HJK'

You will need to search at several WPs around the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside. You are currently about 2 miles from the final cache destination. Whilst the initial uphill part is a challenge, take your time, I feel sure you will enjoy the walk.

Old Road

Proceed to WP1. Find FG using the image below:

Hill Farm House

At WP2, using the image below, what digits are AB?

A Brief History

Over to left from where the image was taken at WP2 is the start of a bridleway that used to form part of the Old Road towards Luton, before 1832. You should now proceed to WP3. The shortest way is up the hill. Enjoy your walk past the so-called Caves on your left (a disused claypit) and imagine, for a moment, how hard this slope would have been for horses pulling coaches up or braking a descent down the hill...

Another notable feature, about 200 m after you reach the top of the most severe slope, is that you walk past the location of Jeremiah's tree (still marked on OS maps) but no longer there. Rather gruesomely it was used as a hanging post about 200 years ago.

No Treasure Here

At WP3, no digging please. But, if you were to discover an emergency, CDE are the digits 7, 8 & 9 to unearth here.

Kissing with Care

WP4 is inside the Barton Hills NNR. Please ensure you take care to comply with all the NNR rules and, in particular, do not damage anything in your search.

The WP is between two kissing gates. Your task here is to find two telephone numbers, as a pair. Code H is the 8th digit of the first number of the pair and JK are the 9th and 11th digits respectively of the second number.

Where Next?

Armed with all the numbers you have found, check your solution here:

Please take notice of the Hint given for a successful solution.

If you were not successful, you may have to retrace your steps!

Final Location

When you reach your destination, please be particularly careful not to cause any damage to any property or dig any holes. There is no real treasure just the kudos of finding the cache. Enjoy your search!

First to Find:

Congratulations to Seeker Badger FTF. Will you be next?
