This event is part of a special series highlighting high quality caches. Geocachers who log “Attended” on Maker Magic: Beyond the Green Box will receive the official Maker Magic souvenir. For other Maker Magic events in the United States, see this list on the Geocaching website.

Location: Fairhaven Stones Throw Brewery, 1009 Larrabee Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225

Logbook will be available from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

This is an all-ages, dog friendly venue. No purchase required to participate. No food truck on Mondays, but outside food is welcome, and snacks are available to purchase.


Let's get creative!

Creative caches could be anything from a fake bolt, an elaborate Gadget Cache, or even a scenic location with a breathtaking view!

We will be displaying some unique geocache containers at this event. Feel free to bring some ideas or caches to share and get inspired!

We will be discussing creative caches at this event! This could be a fun container, an interesting puzzle/gadget cache, or a unique location/scenic view. We will be having conversations as well as an 'inspiration board' where you can share ideas and/or GC codes.

Let's spread the word about fun/creative caches you have found so others can have a fun experience as well.


Creative Cache Workshop - Inspired by Nature 

Learn how to make your own custom cache container that blends in with the natural environment. This could be a fake rock, unique paint job to mimic nature, etc. We will have containers and materials available for attendees to make their own custom cache. Attendees are encouraged to bring creative materials to share.
