Geocache Description:

As the trail is being built out the theme is changed to the Bears of Oso Creek! Take a break and admire the artwork! And be sure to log the adjacent virutal cache.

ORIGINAL TEXT: Did you know Mission Viejo was once entirely underwater? And then a warm hot rain forest. Over millions of years species came and went. Fossils found near here include duck-billed dinosaurs, saber-toothed deer, sea cows, manatees, dugongs, seals, sea lions, hippos, whales, dolphins, sharks and walruses,hino-like brontotheres; running terrestrial crocodiles; large snakes; freshwater turtles; three-toed horses; small camels; tarsier-like primates; and large, hooved predators called mesonychians.

This geocache is part of the official "Discover Mission Viejo GeoTour" which will lead visitors to discover trails, parks and other prominent locations throughout Mission Viejo. Those who complete the tour will be eligible to receive a GeoCoin for their achievement by completing the GeoTour passport and finding code words.
