This cache is part of a series of caches dedicated to the songs of one of my favorite song-writer/singers, the late Jimmy Buffett.
Although he was not a sailor himself by trade, both his father and grandfather were sailors. Rather than becoming a sailor, Buffett instead became a song writer and musician. Buffett’s musical career started in the 1970s, he made over 30 albums, 8 of which went gold and 9 platinum. He also had two Grammy nominations but never won. In 1975 he formed the Coral Reefer Band. His music is sometimes referred to as ‘tropical rock’ because of its unique mix of country, rock, and calypso. But mostly when you listen to his music, it just makes you feel good.
Buffett fans are sometimes referred to as “parrotheads” because so many of them would go to his concerts wearing Hawaiian shirts and parrot hats. I saw Jimmy Buffett several times while I was a student at the University of Florida, but I never did wear a parrot hat.
Jimmy Buffett passed away in September of 2023, he was 76.
I thought this would be an appropriate place to put a cache dedicated to a guy that loved the ocean.

If you happen to search for this cache during the peak of fishing season, please be extra stealthy since there will be a lot of people around. This cache should be pretty easy to find, but it will not be not winter-friendly.
