Gordon Creek Falls is the perfect trail for those looking for an easy hike with a big reward. Those looking for a short and sweet hike will enjoy heading to the lower falls, a perfect spot to stop and enjoy the beautiful scenery, and even enjoy a moment in the cool water on hot summer days. The lower falls are located just 1.1 miles from the Trestle Road Trailhead, but those looking for a longer hike to see the upper files and the Summer House Cabin just have to follow the trail an additional 1.5 miles.

The historic Summer House Cabin was originally built and owned by the Oman family, who grazed sheep in the Gordon Creek area during the early 1900s. They built the cabin as a summer residence for the sheepherders, who were tasked with managing the flock. When visiting this site, you can play an important role in its continued preservation by not marking on the surface or digging in or around the cabin, which causes irreparable damage. Please respect and protect the site by leaving it as you found it.

Though the trail is primarily used for hiking, visitors can ride mountain bikes, ATVs, or horses up to the falls, so be mindful of your surroundings and share the trail. Motorized travel is only permitted from April 30th-December 1st.
