נתונים יבשים: כפר סאלד הוקם ע"י עולים מהונגריה, גרמניה וטרנסילבניה בשנת 1942 (נק' הקבע) המקום נקרא על שם הנרייטה סאלד "אם עליית הנוער". במלחמת ששת הימים המקום ספג למעלה מ 300 פגזים טרם פעולות צה"ל נגד הצבא הסורי.
לעניינינו.
חשוב לדעת שיש עוד המון דברים יפים לעין לראות בישוב.
שלוש נקודות עניין הם:
האגמים הנעלמים (בהם גם אגם קרעון), גן הפסלים של צביקה ע"ש צביקה בס ז"ל והפסלים של אסתי דרור.
מטמון זה יעסוק בנקודת העניין השלישית.
במילה אחת – פסיפס. בשתי מילים – הרבה פסיפס.
בכל רחבי היישוב יש הרבה פינות חמד כל אחת עם סיפור משלה מעוטרות בפסלי הפסיפס של אסתי דרור. אולי תשימו לב גם ביציאה מהישוב באחת מיצירות האומנות שלה. אפשר היה אולי לעשות רב מטמון מכל נקודות הפסלים שבישוב אבל אני בחרתי להתמקד בגן הסיפור שבו תוכלו לזהות עם רב של סיפורי ילדות מוכרים הרוב תוצרת הארץ וחלקם מחו"ל. ישנו סרטון מאוד נחמד על כל נקודות החמד בישוב אבל במקום לצפות בסרטון אני מפציר בכם פשוט לבקר ולהתרשם בעצמיכם...
המטמון מוחבא על הקרקע בתוך כוך. על מנת שלא תסתבכו עם קורי העכביש יש מקל בולט שעוזר להוציאו. שימו לב שלא יראו אתכם בזמן ההוצאה ולהחזיר אותו כמו שמצאתם.
The dry facts: Szold settlement was established by immigrants from Hungary, Germany, and Transylvania in the year of 1942 (the permanent settlement). The place is named after Henrietta Szold "the mother of the youth immigrants". During the "Six Day" war the place was bombarded with up to 300 shells before the IDF acted against the Syrian army.
Now to our business. If you come over to Qaraoun pond cache https://coord.info/GCA229Z it is worth it to know that there are more nice things to behold in the settlement.
Three points of interest are:
The hidden lakes (one of them is Qaraoun pond), Tsviks sculpture garden in the name of R.I.P Tsvika Bass, and the sculptures of Esti Dror.
This Cache will be a bout the last of the POI.
In one word – mosaic. In three – Lots of Mosaic!
All around the settlement there are "sweet spots" each one with its own story adorned with the sculptures of Esti Dror. You may even notice one of her creations as you exit the settlement. For sure it was possible to make a multicache of all the "sweet spots" yet I chose to focus on story garden where (to most Israelis) you can identify a plethora of known children stories most from Israel and some from abroad. There is a nice movie on YouTube about all the "sweet spots" in the settlement but instead of watching the movie I implore you to just come visit and see for yourselves…
The cache is at GL inside a crevice. In order that you may not get entangled in the cobwebs you just need to pull out the connected protruding stick.
Take care not to be seen by muggles when extracting and putting the cache back in place just as you found it.
