The event will go over the placement guidelines for geocaches and the Regional Geocaching Policies Wiki for our area. It will cover among other things placement permission and the do's and don't of placement. I will provide printed materials on the guidelines. And, a quick pop quiz.
What makes a quality cache? We will also discuss the following; practical and functional, the size, the materials, waterproofness, durability, location, or uniqueness.
There are several caches within a six mile radius that I have found that have over 100 favorite points. I, along with those in attendance will have the opportunity to share what makes these caches quality caches.
After the event if anyone wants to go and find any of these that hasn't we can go as a group, or multiple groups. This is totally voluntary and not required to attend this event.
