East Bay Wetlands Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

JeeperDad: I obviously haven't spent the effort to get down there and fix this. I"m going to archive this cache, so someone else can (if they want) place one in this great area.

Geocache Description:

Nice cache that doesn't require you to get your feet wet to get it.

New Coordinates as of June 4th 2005
N 40° 12.212 W111° 39.439

Please rehide it well.

Cache-in Trash-out and be on the look-out for birds that make their home in the wetlands.

The cache is easy to get to, use Exit 261 and then take the frontage road. This gravel road is full of potholes. Any car can go there, (I've seen many normal passenger cars here), but some will have to go V-E-R-Y   S-L-O-W-L-Y. Drive until you get to the creek, then park and cross the stream on the cement next to the netted rocks. Follow the trail to the cache along the edge of the marshes.

Do not try to get this from Exit 262, Not only is it illegal, it is dangerous. Also there is a Highway patrolman that sits there often, and you might get a ticket. .

This cache was orginally placed by Ad0or and called the Perral Cache. I first visited it in March 2003 and thought it was kind of a bleak place...but in March that can be said about a lot of places in Utah. In May 2003 I adopted it.

In July 2003, when I was doing some cache maintenance I thought "This is a nice place in the summer". So I re-named the cache the EastBay Wetlands cache.
