About the cache: The cache should be an easy find. The below information is not necessary to find the cache. The cache is located in parking lot of a public park. The park is open from 5 am to 10 pm. Please only hunt for the cache during these times.

Why Ducks? Ducks are my favorite subject. I like all kinds of ducks. Having lived in the south-east of the United States most of my life, I had not seen many species. Since moving to South Dakota, I have been spending a lot of time looking for the many species of ducks that visit or reside here. This series of caches will hopefully provide some interesting information on wild ducks.

Soviet Duck!

Soviet Duck! is a Russian transplant and happens to love geocaching. He is often found telling bad "In Soviet Russia" jokes. 

Soviet Duck! is a small duck - only about 7 inches long, 5 inches tall and weighs in at less than half a pound. Soviet Duck! resembles a mallard duck. He has a mallard green head and a white collar of feathers on his neck and has a grey body and wings.

He lives likes to hang out in lakes, marshes, ponds, pools, and shallow streams that have a lot of aquatic vegetation or vodka, whichever is available. 

In South Dakota, he is commonly seen attending events with Asgoroth and GeoquackerO>. He is trackable and would love for you to visit with him at an event and log him online. You can also leave detailed messages to Soviet Duck! in your log entry.
