Windy Bluff / Cranbrook Viewpoint located in the Cranbrook Community Forest overlooks the City of Cranbrook.
Windy Bluff is a pleasent hike in the Cranbrook Community Forest. From the parking area it is about 1.5 km to the viewpoint area. The viewpoint is on the hills east of Cranbrook and provides a great view of the city. The View point area is about 750 feet higher than the city.
To reach the parking area travel on Cranbrook Street north and turn off at 30th Avenue N. just before the highway overpass. Turn left immediately and take the road that parallels the highway. Continue past the Forestry Suppresion Camp and you will see the Community Forest signs and gate. Continue on this road. At about 1.5 km take the left fork on the road and continue another kilometer to the parking area. The parking area is at a small lake. The trail head is opposite the lake and is marked with a post that says Viewpoint Trail.
