Reading Green Park (RGP)
Berkshire's newest railway station opened on 27 May 2023 serving the Green Park business estate, the new residential village and communities beyond.
The station is on the Reading-Basingstoke line and is served by two trains per hour in each direction operated by GWR.
Plans for the station began as early as 2007 yet construction only begain in 2019, slowed by covid.
There is paid parking outside, plus a small retail unit opposite.
Access by train will cost (currently as at cache publication, this station is included in the "All Reading Stations" ticket zone.
Foot and cycle access is free.
Note - most of the estate is privately owned so if you're driving a vehicle, please observe all notices.
Cache final coordinates.
At the published coordinates you will find yourself outside the front of the station building.
Locate the following:
A = the number of non-rectangular paralllelogram-shaped windows on the covered stairway on platform 1 that faces you (ignore any facing away).
BC = the number of M-shaped bike stands in the bicycle storage shelter.
DEF = the iron drainage plate on the grass comprises two similar halves. Locate the 3-digit number following the initial E.
The final coordinates are at: N51 25.(B+C)(E)(B) W000 59.(D+E)(A-D)(A-F).
