Captain America
Captain America is a hold-over from the golden age of comics. He first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 in 1941. The publisher was Timely Comics which eventually became Marvel Comics years later. This version of Cap was cancelled around 1954 and it wasn't until 1964 when he was brought back in Avengers #4, which was now published by Marvel.
There is also several Captain America films throughout the years but the most popular ones are the versions found in what is now called the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chris Evans starred as the patriotic hero in three solo titles and several Avengers titles in the MCU.
Captain America is instantly recognized by his red, white, and blue costume and of course his famous shield. This shield has become one of the most popular t-shirt designs ever seen.
This Captain America container used in my Marvel Heroes series has been donated by Chris K in Geauga.
