The owner of this library is a good friend of my dad's. They grew up in the same area outside DC and we even share the same alma mater at the University of Maryland (where I graduated in December of 2020). She wanted to make this cache and library Maryland themed. A terrapin is Maryland's state reptile and the mascot of the University of Maryland, Testudo, is a terrapin (Go Terps!).

Before Covid hit, I created a library cache at the University of Maryland (GC8JVP1) that is still active. If you are ever in the DC area, feel free to find it!
The cache itself is not located within the library, but is close nearby. Please do not walk onto the grass or the property itself. The cache is easily accessible from the sidewalk. When you arrive, it should be fairly obvious where the cache is. It is hidden in plain sight. You'll need a writing utensil, so BYOP. Please replace exactly as you found it.

This cache has been placed with special permission from the City of Mission Viejo and Geocaching HQ.
Cache was placed, designed, and maintained by bluesnote with the help of the home owners.
