Welcome to the Golden Valley County Extension Office Treasure Hunt. If you attempt this treasure hunt you will get to see a little bit of Beach, ND. After gathering clues you will be able to find the final cache location. Please note this cache is in a different location so don't assume this year's cache is in the same spot as last year! The final cache will contain an entry form you can fill out and take to the Extension Office at 53 Central Ave South. Entries will be accepted until July 2nd. The final drawing will be held on July 6th. The lucky winner will receive 2 tickets to the Medora Musical donated by the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation.
So let's get started by going to the Stage 1 coordinates listed above. Here you will find a plaque with the date of the dedication of this memorial. The year will be the clue to find the final cache. Year XXXX=ABCD. The final cache is at N 46 55.(A+1)(B-9)(C-4) W 104 00.(D-1)(B-7)(C-5).
Upon arrival at the final location you might encounter a closed gate. You can park at the listed parking spot and walk through the walk-in gate to find the final cache a short distance away.
