Geocache Description:

Kümnes aare Tartumaa kirikute sarjast

Kambja kirik ehitati 14. sajandil. Kolmel korral põletasid kiriku maha vene väed: Liivi , Põhja- ja II maailmasõjas. Iga kord ehitati varem või hiljem kirik uuesti üles.

Pastor Andreas Verginius tõlkis siin eesti keelde "Wastse Testamendi" (1686). Samal aastal alustas kiriku juures tegevust üks esimesi talurahvakoole Eestis

Kiriku tornis on 3 uut kella - nimedega Usk, Lootus ja Armastus. Vanad kellad toodi peidupaigast välja ja praegu on neid näha kirikus.

Aare on peidetud koordinaatidele 58 14,A 26 42,0B

Lahendamiseks vajaliku info leiad, kui uurid kirikut, infotahvlit kirikuaia ääres ja ümbruskonna suuremaid kive

A: (U * V) - (X * Y) + 9 , kus

U = [kivi: sõnade arv K. Liidaku luuletuses]

V = [esimene arv kiriku infotahvlil]

X = [tornide arv kirikul]

Y = [kukega kivi: kolmas number]

B: Kirikut tutvustaval infotahvlil leia viimases lõigus kuus arvu.

B: Seal lahuta esimesest aastaarvust viimane ja liida sellele kolmanda ja neljanda arvu korrutis

Kontrolliks liida kokku A ja B ja veendu, et selle ristsumma on 7;

Tenth treasure from the series of Tartumaa churches

Kambja church was built in the 14th century. Three times the church was burned down by Russian troops: in Livonia, in the Northern and World War II. Each time, sooner or later, the church was rebuilt.

Pastor Andreas Verginius translated "Wastse Testament" (1686) into Estonian here. In the same year, one of the first peasant schools in Estonia started operating near the church

There are 3 new bells in the church tower - named Faith, Hope and Love. The old bells were brought out of hiding and can now be seen in the church.

The cache is hidden at coordinates 58 14.A 26 42.0B Y

ou can find the information needed for the solution by examining the church, the information board by the churchyard and the larger stones in the surrounding area.

A: (U * V) - (X * Y) + 9 , where

U = [stone: number of words in K. Liidaku's poem]

V = [first number on the church information board]

X = [number of towers on the church]

Y = [stone with rooster: third digit]

B: On the information board introducing the church, find the six numbers in the last paragraph. B: Then, subtract the last number from the first number  and add the product of the third and fourth numbers to it

To check, add A and B together and make sure that its cross sum is 7;
