I placed a cache here many years ago but it was unfortunately washed away during Hurricane Sandy. I took a bit of a break from geocaching, but I was down at the beach house for Memorial Day 2023 and decided to finally redo this one. It is in a slightly different spot, as the boardwalk/beach access that housed it was also washed away in the storm.
We call this Secret Beach because it's a little known public beach in the area. It's been kept under wraps due to the ban on parking during the summer months. You can pull into the parking area and stop and find the cache, but if you want to stay and hang out on the beach, you'll have to find parking elsewhere and walk over, (if you're there 9AM to 5PM between Memorial Day and Labor Day, that is.)
This iteration of the Secret Beach cache is much harder than the original. DO NOT HOP THE FENCE. There are many signs saying to stay off the dunes, and it is completely unnecessary to find the cache. Please make sure to replace the cache EXACTLY how you found it.
