I've only hosted a couple of events in the past but since I've never been to Alaska I figured I should host an event to celebrate my 50th state visited. So I, and over 20 other geocaching friends, will be in the area for a cruise and we'll be there to get to know each other better and, hopefully, also a few other geocachers that live in Alaska. Our group from the lower 48 states (including Missouri, Utah, Iowa, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, New Jersey, Vermont, New Hampshire and Minnesota), will be in Anchorage seeing the sights before embarking on our cruise from Seward to Vancouver. We'd like to meet local cachers and hear about your geocaching adventures. Maybe some of you have been to our 'neck of the woods' and have stories to tell. Bring travel bugs to swap and make a new geo-friend.
PLEASE post a "WILL ATTEND" so we have an idea of how many may be joining us for the event. Come and sit for a while or just drop by to say "Hi!" and sign the log book.
There is absolutely no purchase necessary to attend this event, but anything you do purchase is at your expense. The menu will be limited due to staff shortages but since you don't have to purchase anything, there's no excuse not to come and say hi!
