I've never hosted an event before to celebrate one of my own geocaching accomplishments. But hitting a five digit number in finds after nearly 17 years of geocaching seems like an occasion worth celebrating. Depending on how things go this month, I may hit the 10K milestone prior to the event, or at the latest, it will be at the event.
