REALLY SideTracked - Alva Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Nirikina: A tree has come down over the wall bringing the whole wall and ivy curtain with it and the cache is likely buried underneath. The area has been taped off by the council and is not accessible. Disabling until I can get access to replace.

About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website.

Alva railway station was a station in the village of Alva, in the Scottish county of Clackmannanshire. The station was the terminus of a branch from Cambus on the Stirling to Dunfermline Lower line.

Opened by the Alva Railway, as part of the North British Railway it became part of the London and North Eastern Railway during the Grouping of 1923, passing on to the Scottish Region of British Railways during the nationalisation of 1948. It was then closed by the British Transport Commission.

The old line is now a cycle path which boasts a tarmacced surface and even street lights. It is well used by walkers, dog walkers, cyclists, horses and unfortunately the odd off-road motorbike.
