Welcome to the Fishy Fishy GeoArt!
The Fishy Fishy GeoArt is put out to honor all the fishing in the area and the Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery. The hatchery is located directly downstream of Lake Sakakawea between Riverdale & Pick City. The hatchery produces a variety of fish species to improve recreational fishing opportunities and facilitate recovery of threatened and endangered fish. Two trails located at the hatchery link the hatchery to the Downstream Campground and fishing pond. The trails provide a great opportunity for hiking, biking, fishing, cross country skiing, and a unique adventure and insight into the value of wetlands. The North County National Scenic Trail has been routed through the Garrison Dam Nature Trail, going 4600 miles, through 7 state and ending all the way at Crown Point, New York.
