This cache is dedicated to Steve and Missy, who are 'somewhat' local to this area. They were leaving a bonfire event at ASP Geobash (in NY) a little early a couple of weeks ago and gave me their raffle tickets. I told them that I never win anything, but as luck would have it, I won this container with one of their tickets! I was on the look-out for an appropriate place to hide it and remembered this park which seemed a little empty. The hiding location is really the best spot for these containers and most people just LOVE this type of hide!
This is the Dorothy A. Shumake Arboretum area of Malek Park. The parking area is just to the east of the trail and the cache. The trail is approximately 1/2 mile long and is paved. The area is handicapped accessible and many people enjoy the trail with their pets, which are welcome. Please use stealth when searching and rehide as found (also: consult the hint).
NOTE: The park is open dawn to dusk ONLY! Please visit during daylight hours and enjoy this beautiful area!
