MK23 Wildlife Trail M - Mute Swan
We would generally consider swans common and you will see a lot around Milton Keynes. The Mute Swan is one of the largest British birds and the heaviest one that is capable of flight. As graceful as they are when swimming there's a lot of flapping and splashing when taking off and landing.
You'll see the swans all year round and the numbers grow in winter when there are additional visitors. If you'd like to learn more please do see this fact sheetfrom the Parks Trust.

This is one of 26 caches celebrating the flora and fauna of Milton Keynes, it's not just concrete cows and roundabouts. How many of our different plants and animals can you spot in our City? Please do add photos to yours logs
All the caches are on a walk near Willen Lake and can be easily navigated. They are all available from running the Wherigo cartridge which is available here: MK23 Wildlife Trail
Thank you to the Parks Trust and MKGees for their help and permission to set these caches.
