MK23 Wildlife Trail R - Roesel's Bush Cricket
Despite the exotic sounding name Roesel's Bush Cricket is the most common cricket found in Milton Keynes. Each species of crieckt has it's own sound and females will only respond to the sound from one of their own species. In the summer head to Stonepit Field in Great Linford where the grassland hums to their song. There you will also be able to find Meadow and Field Grasshoppers.
Bonus cricket fact, Campbell Park where MK23's main event is being held has a cricket pitch that is maintained to First Class standard and will, on occasion, feature Northamptonshire.
