MK23 Wildlife Trail U - Udderly amazing cows
No not those cows! Too easy!
Milton Keynes is different in many ways and having livestock in our parks is one our our more unusual features. From early spring through to the autumn the Parks Trust has up to 500 cattle out and about in the fields. In winter many are taken to barns especially from the softer grounds of the flood plains.
Cattle help to maintain habitats by creating better conditions for wild flowers which attract pollinators and in turn larger animals and birds. Using cattle is also far more cost effective and environmentally friendly than using machinery.

This is one of 26 caches celebrating the flora and fauna of Milton Keynes, it's not just concrete cows and roundabouts. How many of our different plants and animals can you spot in our City? Please do add photos to yours logs
All the caches are on a walk near Willen Lake and can be easily navigated. They are all available from running the Wherigo cartridge which is available here: MK23 Wildlife Trail
Thank you to the Parks Trust and MKGees for their help and permission to set these caches.
