MK23 Wildlife Trail W - Willow Warbler
The Willow Warbler is a common bird across Milton Keynes, seen especially in Linford and Stanton Woods. Like many birds it has been in decline although numbers have held up better than for other species. This is helped by the two woods here being ancient woodland with Linford Wood being at least 700 years old
In both woods you might also see other 'W' birds including the Green and Greater Spotted Woodpeckers as well as Tawny Owls and Sparrohawks (both of which at least contain a W or two).

This is one of 26 caches celebrating the flora and fauna of Milton Keynes, it's not just concrete cows and roundabouts. How many of our different plants and animals can you spot in our City? Please do add photos to yours logs
All the caches are on a walk near Willen Lake and can be easily navigated. They are all available from running the Wherigo cartridge which is available here: MK23 Wildlife Trail
Thank you to the Parks Trust and MKGees for their help and permission to set these caches.
