MK23 Wildlife Trail Y - Yet more insects
Underneath our feet, on our trees and bushes and in our bathrooms insects are a hugely valuable part of our ecosystem. We could probably have done an entire trail on insects only. However do you know the definition of an insect?
An insect is an animal that has 6 legs, a hard exo-skeleton and jointed limbs. Insects are also invertebrates as they don't have a spine. Across the parks and forests of Milton Keynes you'll see many different types of bug hotels from the grand to the piles of rotting wood (not to be confused with stickoflage so please be careful when finding caches!).

Love and respect to those that identify which of our images is NOT an insect.
This is one of 26 caches celebrating the flora and fauna of Milton Keynes, it's not just concrete cows and roundabouts. How many of our different plants and animals can you spot in our City? Please do add photos to yours logs
All the caches are on a walk near Willen Lake and can be easily navigated. They are all available from running the Wherigo cartridge which is available here: MK23 Wildlife Trail
Thank you to the Parks Trust and MKGees for their help and permission to set these caches.
