Llewella Davies Walk- After the Floods #3
The 2.3 kilometre Miss Llewella Davies Pioneer Walkway offers fantastic views of St John's Anglican Church, the Chinese Washing Wells, the Nepean River and Macquarie House.
It consists of 3 walks.
The Matahill loop - 800 metres in length.
The Nepean River link-250 metres
The Elizabeth Farm link -1.3klms
The Walk dedicated to Miss Davies, who gifted her home and the surrounding farm to the people of Camden. She was an energetic member of the Camden community and in 1981 was decorated with an OAM for her service to the community.
The original of this cache was washed away during the floods of the past 2 years and has been archived. A new cache has been established with a new location on the walk.
The walkway was closed from around February 2022 until May 2023. Following extensive repair works by Camden Council and associated Land Care groups the walkway has been reopened in June 2023.
The walkway is open between sunrise and sunset.
The cache is a micro container, pen required, and careful extraction
