Geocache Description:

23 June 2023, 18:00 - 20:00

Something a little different for this month's monthly event.

This event will include an educational workshop where you can learn about the guidelines that we should follow when placing a cache including nature protection in sensitive areas. I will be providing a few examples of caches that can be studies and learn how best to hide these. We will then hide a cache and write up a cache page with a view to getting it published.
Topics discussed include:

What should be considered when choosing or making a good cache

We will be teaching guidelines of hiding a cache and the importance of obtaining the relevant permission especially in nature protected areas such as SSSIs

Although we will provide examples of geocaches you are welcome to bring your own examples

If you so wish you can join us for a drink and a bite to eat before the workshop.  Eating and/or drinking is not necessary but if you wish to the venue would like as many orders in advance as possible so please add a note to your "Will Attend"s.

Venue:

The Prince of Wales Inn,

Kenfig,

Bridgend CF33 4PR

We have reserved an area on the ground floor suitable for wheelchairs but if it's a nice evening we may sit outside.
