This street was home to the Beeston Boiler Company between 1896-1976, owned by the local Pearson family on what is now the site of the bingo hall and surrounding houses.
Houses on the street were bombed during World War 2, at the nearby Boots and Erikson's factories targeted. Numbers 24 and 26 were demolished following bomb damage. 24 was rebuilt as a detached house, so the street has had no 26 ever since.
