Geocache Description:

The West Coast Wilderness Trail is a unique and memorable experience with stunning views of the Southern Alps. The 132km trail can be ridden in either direction starting in Greymouth or Ross. Riders will journey through historic gold mining sites, along early bush tram tracks and over former railway bridges.

According to Collins dictionary a trail is a rough path across open country or through forests.

While further south the trail does run through bush, from the start at Mawhera Quay to here the trail is neither rough nor running through forests. This section of the Wilderness Trail is an easy ride, flat, and on a very good surface.

The cache has room for small trackables. You will need to bring your own pen.
